Don't know if you've tried one of them before, but I wanted to suggest that there are some sketchbooks that have dark colored paper, such as grey or black..that are particularly fun for sketchwork. Really enjoy seeing your sketchwork!

Really, I prefer the mid-dark tones, such as grey...rather than the more severe contrast of black, but either is great for working with light colored pencils. (Around here it's hard to find the mid toned paper...typically all I can find are the black paper sketchbooks unless I shop online.)

The darker background makes it possible to sketch in where the light hits, and practice lighting techniques much better than lighter paper which makes you place shadow first. I really enjoy how it forces you into looking at your composition differently.

Prismacolors tend to have good coverage on dark papers, I'm not sure on other brands since I've been a prismacolor addict for years. Awesome pencils.

Hope you're havin a great weekend!
