Last night was incredible for Team USA! The Fab 5 women’s gymnastics team turned in solid performances on all four events to finish well ahead of second-place finishers of Russia. Jordyn Wieber redeemed herself from the disappointment of the qualifying round, while Gabby Douglas and Aly Raisman proved they’re medal contenders for the All Around Finals taking place tomorrow night. I can’t wait to watch Aly Raisman’s parents watching their daughter during that…haha!

Over at the pool, Michael Phelps set a world record for becoming the most decorated Olympian of all time when he clinched the gold for Team USA in the 4 x 200 meter freestyle relay.
Do you really know me? Find out here!
Go Team USA!
What was your favorite moment from last night’s broadcast?
P.S. I want to encourage you all to show your support for Olympic gold medalist Shawn Johnson who is now the special correspondent covering the games for TODAY.com after announcing her retirement not too long ago. Be sure to follow Shawn on Twitter as she tweets her coverage using the hashtag #OlympicsTODAY. Also, follow her as she competes in the upcoming all-star season of Dancing with the Stars! Dancing with the Stars: All-Stars premieres on Monday, September 24 at 8/7c on ABC.

Hey Matt, Kyla Ross is 15yrs old - she's turning 16 sometime this year. Gabby and McKayla are 16 and Jordan and Ali are 17, just recently I think. Don't forget to watch Beam and Floor finals tonight! :) -
These girls are amazing..giv es me chills watching! Does anyone know how odl these girls are? -
Hey Derek - I'm really happy to see you commenting on the Women's Gymnastic Teams victory and successes :) I've been a gymnastic coach for many (many) years and have followed these girls from day 1. While I was upset that Jordan didn't make AA finals, I was just as happy to see Aly peeking at the right time. The team has SOOO much depth! Rooting for Team USA tonight!
Umm one little problem here. With Shawn Johnson doing DWTS Allstars - I Have to vote for her. I usually vote for you so I'm kinda hoping you two will be partnered. If not... Idk - maybe I'll split my vote. Good luck, have fun, and GO TEAM USA!! -
Can't pick one moment .. For me it's the smiles and tears
Kids who spend their days working SO hard & get to live out their dream.
The PRIDE on the parents faces watching their children make history.
The back stories of sacrifice made out of love.
Has to be one of the best feelings life has to offer...
AMAZING ACHIEVEMENTS!!! Gives chills and tears
getting to witness PURE JOY !! Cheering them on ,
literally screaming with excitement! #prideinUSA
P.s - Aly's parents - absolutely hilarious !!! -
Congrats Team USA!!!. My favorite part was when they all was on the podium waiting to receive the medals around their necks. Their face was filled with joy. Just being up there singing The National Anthem has to be a great feeling. That was my favorite part. -
I'm from the same hometown as Shawn and we couldn't more proud of her and what she has accomplished. I PRAY she is partnered with you this season! Maybe it will give you a reason to come back to Des Moines :) -
Sorry,
Meant to say I loved watching them root each other on... So proud of all of them. A true team in every sense of the word.
Congrats again, #FAB5! The Women's Gymnastics Team definitely brought it. Great moment!! So Exciting!! -
I just adore Gabby Douglas. Watching her nail the uneven bars was amazing. I think I cheered throughout all of their routines. I loved how they rooted each on on & I cried right along with them when they found out they won the Gold! Love their team spirit and the bond between them. Go #TeamUSA #FAB5!!
